The "Thai Street Vibes" event, hosted by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou, was launched at Beijing Road Pedestrian Street in Guangzhou from August 30th to 31st, 2025. This event is part of the series of celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand.During the event, there were more than 30 booths showcasing Thai goods and food. Meanwhile, various activities were held, including Muay Thai performances, traditional Thai dance shows, performances by Thai emerging artists Mintty and Chai Klang, prize-winning interactive games, DIY workshops, Thai cooking classes, and an exhibition on the 50th anniversary of Sino-Thai diplomatic relations. These activities allowed Guangzhou residents to fully immerse themselves in experiencing Thai cuisine, tourism, culture, art, products, and services.The Consul General of Thailand in Guangzhou, Kajtiti Wiwatwanont, stated in his opening speech that the event aims to deepen the understanding and friendship between the two peoples by combining the presentation of Thai cultural characteristics with the promotion of business and trade exchanges. He hopes that this event will further promote exchanges between the two peoples in terms of mutual understanding, business opportunities, and tourism visits.This is the first time that the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou has held an outdoor event for the public in the central area of Guangzhou. The consulate-general looks forward to building it into a regular city festival in Guangzhou in the future.
